Today I went to the bookstore at lunch to pick up the latest Artful Blogging.
I had been many times this week to the Barnes and Noble and came out empty handed. I decided to check out the Books a Million across the street this afternoon. Sure enough they had it, and I was so excited I picked up Green Craft as well.
I hurried back to my shady tree at work to read for the rest of my lunch hour when I came across this photo…
It looked familiar….hey…that's the same fabric I got from Mary Jo's…and my Patchwork book for my birthday…this is MY photograph!!
I was thrilled. My favorite magazine company putting MY photo in their latest issue. My tingly feeling left though when I saw who was credited under the photo. I won't name names here but lets just say it wasn't me.
😦
Makes me kinda sad. I don't know how it came about that a cropped photograph I took appeared in a magazine that I regularly buy was credited to a different blogger. I guess that just happens when you put all your photos and thoughts onto the internet. However, I know along with my family, friends, Flickrland and here that my photo was in that issue and that's all that matters. 🙂
Now to my other latest magazine Green Craft.
Green Craft is a wonderful magazine to look at. I doubt I would make or use half of the projects inside but it still was a good read.
A lot of the projects consisted of reusing paper bags, cans, etc.
I hate to be this way but it's the simple truth, I just cant see me carrying around a trash-bag….bag…..
It's not that I don't want to be "green" and help the earth as much as I can, there are just so many beautiful fabrics out there that I would rather use them to tote about the town than plastic.
Green Craft was worth getting because of the great ideas. Sure a purse made out of Wal-Mart bags isn't my idea of pretty. However, a lavender sachet or quilt of my sons baby clothes are!
I have the cutest little giraffe patch of Christians that I am going to make a lavender sachet from this weekend now.
Another idea from it is a cute little coffee cozy from an old sweater.
Hopefully Friday at work will go by fast. I have so many things to accomplish.
